What Insurance plans do you take?
I am a participating provider with Carefirst BCBS, Medicare, and CIGNA. If you have other insurance coverage, e.g., AETNA, United Health, MAMSI, etc., reimbursement will be at the out-of-network rate.

What are your fees? Do you have a sliding scale if I have no insurance?
We can discuss specific fees, charges, co-pays,  etc., when we meet for our first session. I do have a sliding scale that is available under special circumstances.   
How long is each session?
Each session is ~50 minutes in length.

How long does therapy last?
That is a difficult question to answer since there is such wide variation in the issues people bring into therapy. That, as well as everything else we do, will be a joint decision.  It will take into account your assessment of your progress and achievement of the goals that were established at the beginning of our work together.

How often do we meet?
How often we meet is entirely situation specific for each individual and can vary according to your needs. The usual format is to meet once a week. 

What if I need medication?
As a psychologist I can't prescribe medication, however, this is an option we can discuss if you wish.  I share an office suite with two psychiatrists and also have a small network of other psychiatrists who specialize in medication management to whom I refer.

Can I have a free initial consult to meet and see if we are a good match to work together?
Absolutely, just give me call and we can set up a time to meet.
